Original watercolour painting, framed. Ready to hang. Appears to be painted on cartridge paper.

A tall garden wall with open gate with a glimpse of country scenery beyond. Pink flowers growing up the wall and around the gateway. Various gardening tools, pots, plants and flowers within the garden. Signed Jean Batchwell. Nice colours and detail.
Art Style: Naive, folksy, rustic, rural, impressionist.

Frame Details:
Moulded wooden frame, in rich warm brown. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 16 1/2 x 13 3/4 inches, 42cm x 35cm. Horizontal.

Condition:
Painting excellent. Some soft, shallow indent lines and pit marks to the frame edges. Rest of frame excellent. Natural knots and grain within the wood.
