Circa 1970s. Original painting, probably acrylic, on canvas material, framed. Ready to hang.

A quaint narrow street scene with steps, archway with flowers over it, buildings with balconies, and a church tower to background. Has a Mediterranean look about it. Illegible signature near bottom edge. Nice colours - some muted and some more vibrant. Brushstrokes range from smooth to coarser and stippled, and some very thick and raised impasto on the flowers/leaves around the arch. Lovely picture!
Art Style: Popular impressionist, mid century romantic, dreamlike, atmospheric.

Frame Details:
Moulded wooden frame with old gold colour finish and gold beading and pattern to front edges. No glass. Open back on frame with pinned and taped rear edges. Original framer's label. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 18 1/4 x 11 1/2 inches, 46.3cm x 29.2cm. Upright.

Condition:
Painting excellent. Wear and marks to frame edges. Rest of frame very good.
