Vintage Needlework Wall Hanging Panel, Woman in Headdress, c. 1970s Textile Art, ~ 15 x 15 inches

1970s original needlework. Ready to hang panel (not in a frame).

Highly stylised head and neck portrait of a lady, almost in profile and looking to the side. Skin tones are a variety of brown, cream/white colours. Hair is mostly black with some grey for highlights, in an up-do style with a head scarf in browns, black, muted yellow and silver highlights wrapped around the top and back of the head. Silver hoop earrings. Muted orange background. The stitches are tightly packed bobble shapes. Fibre/thread type unknown. Sewn on a strong mesh material. Artist unknown, unsigned.
Art Style: Mid century, bold, ethnic.

Not framed. The needlework panel has a yellow cardboard backing with a metal ring for hanging, and taped rear edges.

Approx 15 x 15 inches, 38cm x 38cm.

Condition:
Excellent on the whole. Very minor pilling, and fine fibrous surface fluff when viewed at angles. The underlying mesh material is visible around the edges of the picture and is visible from the front to varying degrees. See pictures please.
