Vintage Embroidery of Birds Plants Flowers on Black Material, Framed Size 22 3/4 x 12 3/4 ins

From circa 1980s estimated.
An original embroidery, in a substantial frame. Ready to hang.

Highly stylised depiction of two wading birds (one standing, the other crouching with its wings up), next to a water's edge with various foliage and flowers, on a generous sized black fabric background. Lovely variety of stitches and colours.
Art Style: Unknown, unsigned.

Frame Details:
Heavy wooden frame, with thick moulding in brown with gold outer edges and off-white inner edges with a thin grey line. Non-reflective/fine stipple glass to front. Black sheet surface covering rear centre of frame with pinned/tacked and taped edges. Metal D ring fixings with cord for hanging.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 22 3/4 x 12 3/4 inches, 57.8cm x 32.4cm.
The front of frame aperture is approx 19 4/10 x 9 4/10 inches, 49.3cm x 23.9cm. Horizontal.

Condition Notes:
Needlework excellent A few small marks on the black fabric. Wear, scuffs and nicks to frame edges and rear covering. Frame very good on the whole. Quite heavy. Weighs just over 2 kg.
