1960s print edition of an early 20th century artwork. Frame circa 1970s-1980s.

'Dorelia, c. 1912, by Augustus John (b. 1878), Portrait of the Artist's Wife, Print Published 1967' as labelled on back of frame. Printed signature 'John' on the print. Full length portrait in an outdoor setting. She is wearing a long green skirt, white blouse, long black cardigan, black shoes and a black feathered hat. She is standing in front of a fence, with some white flowers on the ground, and hills in the distance with cloudy sky above. John was a Welsh artist, 1878-1961, of the 'Camden Town Group' and the 'New English Art Club' schools.
Art Style: Post-Impressionist, bohemian, rustic, semi-surreal.

Frame Details:
Dusky muted green card overlay mount. Chunky moulded wooden frame, dark browns with grain, and mottled gold colour inner edges. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes and rings, with cord, for hanging. Some of the rear fittings are newer.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 14 x 10 inches, 35.5cm x 25.4cm.
Size of visible print only (the mount aperture) approx 10 1/10 x 6 inches, 25.7cm x 15.2cm. Upright.

Condition Notes:
A few very slight marks on the print but print excellent overall. Please note the slight haziness on the right of the print is part of the print reproduction of the artwork, not extraneous. Slight wear/scuff marks to frame edges and a few small indents in the wood to the rear corners. Rest of frame excellent.
