John W. Carmichael Dutch Boats Nautical Seascape, Small Vintage Art Print, Framed

Circa 1980s-1990s print edition and frame, of a 19th century artwork.

Depicting a choppy sea with sailing boats and rowing boats, and coastal port town in the distance, and a tall sky. Some of the boats have Dutch flags. Gentle colours. Tiny printed signature to corner J. W. Carmichael and a year, possibly 1845. Label on back states 'John W. Carmichael 1799-1868'.
Art Style: Fine, classical, nautical, maritime.

Frame Details: Double board overlay mounts (white main mount, and cream inner edge mount). Moulded wide-edged wooden frame, black colour with distressed style markings showing through the black colour. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging. The rear fittings are newer,

External size, including frame, approx 13 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches, 34.2cm x 29.2cm.
Size of visible print only (the inner mount aperture size) approx 7 4/10 x 5 4/10 inches, 18.7cm x 13.7cm.
Orientation: Horizontal.

Condition: Print excellent. Some small scuff marks to lower frame edge. Rest of frame very good to excellent.
