Vintage Naive Oil Painting of Long-Necked Birds Swimming by M Edmond c1980s, Framed Size 13 x 11 ins

Circa 1980s original oil painting on canvas texture board, framed and ready to hang.

Two birds swimming on a pond or small river. Foliage and grasses around the water's edge. Sky to background. The brushstrokes are mostly flat or very finely textured. The birds have long necks and the feathers are off-white/cream, brown, grey/black.
Signed 'M. Edmond'. Naive and charming folksy style.

Frame Details:
Moulded wooden frame edges, warm brown with gold colour line to mid front. No glass. Original 'Daler Board' label on back of board. Frame back has tabbed and taped edges, and metal eyes with cord for hanging (new).

External size, including frame, approx 13 x 11 inches, 32.8cm x 27.8cm.
Horizontal format.

Condition Notes:
Painting very good on the whole, with a few very small abrasion spots under the left bird, a couple of tiny spot marks in the sky and yellowing to the sky. Very slight wear to frame edges, and some spot marks on the back of the board, otherwise the frame is excellent.
