Antique colour print from an engraving, mounted and framed (vintage). Ready to hang.

Monogram printed signature 'BF' on the print (Victorian artist Myles Birket Foster, 1825-1899). A rustic outdoor scene of a mother and young daughter feeding some chicks and a chicken which are in/around a little coop. They are next to a doorway with a broom and homewares. Foliage, garden fence, and landscape to background. Birds flying in the sky. Lovely quality print and gentle colours which look like a watercolour painting!
Art Style: Fine, traditional, rustic, old fashioned, romantic, sentimental, natural, observational Victorian portraiture.

Frame Details:
Relatively wide slate green board overlay mount. Moulded wooden frame, in warm brown and dark brown. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges, and metal eyes with cord for hanging. Some of the fittings are newer.

Size:
External dimensions including frame, approx 13 1/10 x 11 1/8 inches, 33.3cm x 29.2cm. Size of visible print only (the mount aperture size) approx 8 8/10 x 5 8/10 inches, 22.4cm x 14.7cm. Horizontal.

Condition:
A few tiny marks in the sky, otherwise the print is excellent. A few small marks and tiny indents to frame edges, and a slight mark on the rear board. Rest of frame excellent.
