Antique Miniature Print of John Graham 'Bonnie Dundee' by David Paton (active 1600s) Vintage Framed
19th or early 20th century print edition of an artwork from the late 1600s. Framed circa 1980s.
Antique miniature tonal lithographic print (tones of brown, off-white and black, similar to a subtle sepia colour). Mounted and framed (vintage) and ready to hang or stand.
Head and shoulders portrait with a printed oval border on rectangular paper. Underneath bottom of oval shape is printed 'John Graham of Claverhouse Miniature'. Label on back of frame states 'John Graham (1648-1689), 7th Laird of Claverhouse, 1st Viscount of Dundee, 'Bonnie Dundee' by David Paton (active 1660-1700)'. A very fine quality portrait.
Frame Details:
Print mounted on top of black board to give a narrow black border. Dense composite plastic frame edges with relatively deep moulding, in colours of gold, old gold and mottled gold, with beading to inner/outer edges. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with strut for standing, tabbed and taped edges, and metal tab for hanging.

External size, including frame, approx 6 6/8 x 5 8/10 x 9/10 inch, 17cm x 14.8cm x 2.2cm.
Size of the rectangular print surface only, approx 4 2/10 x 3 3/8 inches, 10.7cm x 8.5cm. Upright.
Condition Notes:
Print excellent. Frame sides have scuff marks, wear, corner wear, and a small indent mark to one edge.
