Original artwork, oil or acrylic paints on canvas board, framed. Ready to hang. From the late 20th century (estimated) depicting an earlier age.

A village street scene with old houses, some Tudor style, people (one with a cart), trees to background, and cloudy sky. Brushstrokes are mostly smooth to lightly textured, in addition to the textured board surface. Bold colour scheme.
Signed 'H. Smith after E. R. Squirrel'. Hand written gift message on the back from 'Harry', this could be the painter.
Art Style: Bold, semi-expressionist, traditional scene in a modern style.

Frame Details:
Moulded wooden frame with brown grain pattern, and beading to outer edges. No glass. Tabbed and taped back edges. Metal rings, with cord for hanging. Original framer's label.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 23 8/10 x 16 9/10 x 7/10 inches, approx 60.5cm x 43cm x 1.8cm. Upright.

Condition Notes:
Excellent on the whole. Slight wear/marks to frame edges. Painting has a few tiny marks and a small shiny area on the lower right edge.
