Vintage Oriental Floral Embroidery on Silk, Framed Size 14 3/4 x 11 8/10 ins

Circa 1970s embroidery on silk material, mounted and framed. Ready to hang.

Flowers in colours of pink, and yellow and orange, on branches with green leaves. Stitched oriental script cartouche in red. Background fabric is a mottled beige colour.

Frame Details:
Mulberry colour board overlay mount. Moulded wooden frame edges, brown with gold line to mid-front. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes and rings, with cord for hanging. Some of the fittings are newer.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 14 3/4 x 11 8/10 inches, 37.5cm x 30cm.
Size of visible fabric only (the mount aperture size) approx 8 9/10 x 6 4/10 inches, 22.7cm x 16.3cm. Horizontal.

Condition Notes:
The background fabric has some mottled marks, variation in the colour and a few little ruck marks. The embroidery itself is excellent. Frame excellent with minimal wear.
