Vintage Oil Painting, Riverside Cottage Landscape by Stan Butler, Framed Size 19 6/10 x 12 1/10 ins

Circa 1970s original oil painting on canvas texture (fine) board, framed. Ready to hang.

A countrysaide landscape with river and wooden footbridge, house with outbuildings and a person outside the house, trees, hills to background, and sky. Signed Stan Butler. Brushstrokes range from smooth and finely textured through to coarser and raised. Popular impressionist style with a nice, rustic atmosphere.

Frame Details:
Moulded wooden frame edges, warm brown with gold colour inner edges. No glass.
Tabbed and taped rear edges and metal eyes with cord for hanging (these are new). Part of a Daler Board label on the back.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 19 6/10 x 12 1/10 inches, 49.8cm x 31cm.
Horizontal.

Condition Notes:
Some small nodules, paint bumps and little surface abrasions in the sky, otherwise the painting is very good. Frame edges have slight wear, little scuff marks and a few small soft nicks in the wood. The back of the board has beige blemish spots all over. Other rear fittings excellent.
