Vintage Lake District Pastel Drawing by Peter Shutt - 'After the Rain, Bassenthwaite', Framed

Circa 1980s-1990s (estimated), original small colour pastel drawing, mounted and framed. Ready to hang.

A landscape scene, with a lake, water's edge, trees, hills and sky. Beautiful soft colours. There is a pink tree which complements the blues and greens perfectly. Title label on the back states 'After the Rain, Bassenthwaite'. Gentle impressionist style.
Artist: Peter Shutt, signed on the artwork. British artist 1926-2016.

Frame Details:
Stepped board overlay mount, slightly textured, coloured light grey to main mount with light beige inner edge. Wooden frame, brown with gold inner edge. Glass to front. Board back on frame. Tabbed and taped back edges. Metal eyes with string for hanging.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 28.2cm x 21.8cm, 11 1/10 x 8 6/10 inches. Size of visible artwork only (the inner mount aperture) approx 18.4cm x 11.2cm, 7 1/4 x 4 4/10 inches. Horizontal.
