Rural riverside scenery with small stream, houses, mill waterwheel, trees, land and sky with birds flying. Beautiful scene. Labels on back of frame state 'Landscape with Stream and Watermills (detail)' by Meynder Hobbema 1638-1709' and a publisher's/gallery label.
Artist also known as Meindert Lubbertszoon Hobbema.
Art Style: Dutch Golden Age, rustic, traditional, atmospheric.

Frame Details: Print mounted on black board. Moulded wooden frame, with wide chunky moulding, in warm rich brown with natural grain and markings. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with metal eyes and cord for hanging, and tabbed and taped edges. Some of the rear fittings are newer.

External size, including frame, approx 12 7/8 x 10 7/8 inches, 32.7cm x 27.6cm.
Size of print only, approx 6 1/2 x 3 8/10 inches, 16.5cm x 9.6cm.
Orientation: Horizontal.

Printed in England.

Condition: Print excellent. Small scuffs, pits and wear marks to the wooden frame edges, see pictures. Natural marks and knots in the wood. Rest of frame very good.
