'River Landscape Near Dolgelly, North Wales by George Vicat Cole (1833-1893)', as labelled on back of frame. Also known as Dolgelley or Dolgellau, in Gwynned, Snowdonia. Cole was an English artist from Portsmouth. Countryside landscape artwork with river, trees, two people and a sheepdog sitting on a rock, sheep, mountains and sky, path with two people in the far distance, and a few tiny cottages nestled away in the background. Beautiful picture.
Art Style: Rustic, rural, fine, traditional, pastoral.

Frame Details:
Print mounted on top of slate green board. Moulded wooden frame, muted mid-brown, with fine grain and a slight sheen finish. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal tab hanger. The rear fittings are newer.

External size, including frame, approx 11 3/4 x 9 3/4 inches, 29.8cm x 24.8cm.
Size of print only, approx 8 1/2 x 6 6/10 inches, 21.6cm x 16.8cm. Horizontal.

Condition:
Print excellent. Slight wear/marks to frame edges. Rest of frame excellent.
