Print from the 1800s. Frame circa 1980s.
Small hand-coloured antique tonal black and white print from an engraving, mounted and framed (vintage), and ready to hang.

Exterior view of Gloucester Cathedral with some people, tree, grass and gravestones to foreground. Beautifully fine detail. Integral off-white border with title and credits on bottom border as follows: 'Drawn by Benj.n. Baud, for Winkles's Cathedrals, Engraved by B. Winkles, Gloucester Cathedral, View from St. Catherine's Abbey'.

Frame Details:
Textured cream board overlay mount with hand-drawn line around the aperture. Wooden frame edges, warm brown with gold colour inner edge. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal tab for hanging. Some of the rear fittings are newer.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 11 7/10 x 10 9/10 inches, 29.7cm x 27.8cm.
Size of visible artwork only including the borders/wording (ie: the mount aperture size) approx 5 7/8 x 5 1/8 inches, 14.8cm x 12.8cm.
Horizontal.

Condition Notes:
Slight yellowing to the print border edges (more to the very edges next to the mount edge), and a few small marks in the sky, otherwise the print/artwork is excellent. The board mount has some slight dappled marks. Very slight wear to wooden frame edges. Rest of frame excellent.
