1930s Art Deco Trinket Jar or Powder Bowl with Lid, Pale Turquoise Blue guilloche style pattern
Circa 1930s vintage glass trinket storage jar (or powder bowl) with lid.
Clear thin glass jar section, squat circular shape with rounded sides and small upright top and bottom edges.
The circular lid is made of metal with silvertone ornate patterned edges.
The top of the lid has a pale turquoise blue guilloche style pattern with radial pattern centre and flowers at the middle, and is under a plastic film surface.
The pattern is probably on textured card (not metal) and has a slightly metallic effect in the blue colour.
The lid sits on the top (not hinged, not screwed, not a tight fit).
The underside of the lid is a cream colour.
Maker not stated on item.
Maximum height, including lid, about 5.2cm, 2 inches.
External diameter of jar, at widest, about 4 1/2 inches, 11.5cm.
Diameter of top opening about 8.3cm, 3 1/4 inches.
Condition: Glass very good with a few tiny marks. Plastic film on the lid has a few small scuffs and marks. Silvertone edges very good with a few tiny marks. The inside/underneath edges of the lid have small brown tarnish marks on the out rim, see pictures. Overall very good for its age.
