Small Pencil Drawing, La Madeleine by V Hart after Henner, in Vintage Frame Sized 8 3/4 x 6 3/4 ins
An original freehand drawing, graphite pencil on yellowed vintage paper, mounted, and framed in a vintage frame. Ready to hang or stand.

A full length portrait of a young woman, side-on, kneeling on the ground and leaning backwards with head tilted upwards and slightly away. She is wearing sparse clothing, possibly semi-nude, and appears to be clutching something on her lap. Drawn in a sketchy style with some graduated shading around the figure.
Henner was a French artist, 1829-1905.
Frame Details:
Warm light grey board overlay mount. Vintage frame - narrow moulded wooden frame edges, with a cream colour finish and a faint vein pattern, and fine silver colour patterns to edges (curved lines and little leaf shapes). Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Cord for hanging and hardboard strut for standing.

External size, including frame, approx 8 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches, 22.2cm x 17cm. Upright.
Size of visible artwork only (the mount aperture) approx 6 1/10 x 3 1/10 inches, 15.5cm x 7.9cm. Upright.
Condition Notes:
The vintage paper is more yellowed towards the edges. Slight wear to frame edges. Rest of frame excellent.
