Print edition from the early 20th century, of a late 19th century artwork. Frame circa 1970s.

Labelled on the back of the frame 'La Madonnia (Madonna of the Streets) 1897 by Roberto Ferruzzi (1853-1934)', and a faint printed signature on the picture. Portrait of a young mother wearing a blue robe and brown headscarf, holding a sleeping baby in a grey-white garment.
Art Style: Fine, classical, melancholy, inspirational.

Frame Details:
Slightly textured muted gold board overlay mount. Wooden frame with recessed/bevelled inner front edges, dark brown with gold colour line to mid-front. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging. Some of the fittings are newer than the frame itself.

External size, including frame, approx 12 8/10 x 10 8/10 x 3/4 inches, 32.5cm x 27.4cm x 1.9cm.
Size of visible print only (the mount aperture) approx 10 x 7 7/10 inches, 25.3cm x 19.6cm. Upright.

Condition:
Print excellent. Slight wear to frame edges. Rest of frame excellent.
